Your child will learn self-defence, martial arts, functional strength & fitness training exercises specificly designed for children under the age of 13. They will also learn healthy nutrition and eating habits, while increasing their fitness, strength, flexibility and self-confidence.

What will you learn?
This course is divided into two components, the self defence, fitness, strength training component and the life skills and personal development component.
The first part of each session will be focused on physical training and improving your strength, flexibility, body tone and fitness. You will learn self defence techniques, martial arts and kickboxing, while having fun and learning how to stay fit and healthy for life.
The second part of each session will entail the life skills component, covering a different personal development topic each week. This component has been designed to improve self confidence & self esteem, cultivate your inner power, develop relationship and communication skills and techniques to getting the most out of your life.
Who are the Course instructors?
The course instructors for this program are personal trainers and personal development specialists Carlie Ryan and Shea Webb. Carlie and Shea have been helping people transform their bodies and their lives for over 8 years now.
Their qualifications include r
egistration as a Personal Trainer, Group Instructor, Kickboxing Instructor, Boxing Instructor, Advanced Boot Camp Instructor, Children’s Trainer, Older Adults Trainer, NLP Practitioner and Life Coach.
Carlie and Shea are both highly passionate about what they do, and are excellent role models and mentors, living a healthy, active, positive, and fulfilling life.

Where will the sessions take place?

The sessions will take place on the school grounds at St Matthews. We will meet at the same meeting spot each week and begin and end at the same spot each session.
Where will we meet?
Our meeting spot will be just on the steps next to the basketball courts and the large under cover area at St Matthews. After our first session you will recognise the other friendly faces of the paticipants and instructors of the program.
Can my child go straight from school to the class?
The class will begin at 3:30pm so your child can make their way to our meeting spot directly after school, or go home in between if you prefer.
What do they need to bring?
All your child needs to bring is themselves! If you'd like they can bring a bottle of water, but there are water bubblers provided at the school so it's okay if they do not have one.
What do they need to wear?
Comfortable clothes to train in and closed in exercies shoes.
What kinds of exercises and activities will I be doing?
All of the activities and exercises are designed in a fun and motivating way and will be especially catered to the ages of the group. From strength training circuits, to kickboxing, boxing, yoga core strengthening, flexibility, self defence, and fitness circuits, every session is completely different to keep the training sessions fun and enjoyable!
What will each session be like?
Each session will be focused on physical training and improving your strength, flexibility, body tone and fitness. You will learn self defence techniques, martial arts and kickboxing, while having fun and learning how to stay fit and healthy for life. What if it is raining, will the sessions still take place?
We have access to under cover areas for when it is raining, so training sessions will take place rain, hail or shine!
